NO NO NO NO NO!

Do not sign the Waterstones petition to get JK Rowling to write more Harry Potter books.

(If you do, I suggest you don’t come here and tell me because I will never ever speak to you again)

Any more HP books after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows just won’t be the same.

And pity the woman. She’s been with him for SEVEN books already.

Jeez….

I’m serious. I saw this on GalleyCat!

I’m not against her and I do see her appeal etc. I just think there shouldn’t be any more HP books.

And Waterstones is a bookstore chain in the UK, so I guess that Adam Smith saying is true.

I honestly don’t think J.K. Rowling will write anymore full-length novels about Harry, though I do expect she’ll write some companion stuff relating to the world, or at least she’s mentioned that she perhaps would. As much as I like the HP world, I wouldn’t want to see anymore HP books after book seven, either. I just think by then the story will be told.

    Exactly DC!

But the thing is, the latest news is that she’s now saying “Never say never” about more Harry Potter books! *cries*

They’re trying to turn this into a battle of public will v. the wish of the author.

When Conan Doyle had killed off Sherlock Holmes (because he got so sick of writing about Holmes), so many people complained that the author had to bring him back. There were some contrived explanation in the book as to how he survived, but it was done.

Terrible that people are trying to force JKR. Didn’t she already give us a lot of good time and fun with the seven Harry Potter books? If she wants to write more Harry books, sure. But if she doesn’t want to, she shouldn’t have to.

I agree! As much as I love HP and JK’s writing style. Enough is enough. This is the end and what a wonderful ending it will be no matter what the outcome is. 🙂 I mean she’s the author. If she wants to write more HP books then she will. It’s not up to us to decide. She’s had this planned out from the very beginning and it only entailed seven books. It took her long enough to come up with them because of how big they are, let alone coming up with more plot lines. Honestly what more can Harry go through. After all of the adventure and danger he’s been through and with either him or Voldemort dieing at the end of this book what more is there to write about?!
